Charity Bazaar

Today, there was a charity bazaar at school. I took photos, but again, most of the photos aren't related to the bazaar, just a few. Here are the photos.

Candies! 'Mentos' is one of my favorite candies.

Ooh... 'The Calculator~'

Kit-kat!!! I want it!

Fetuccini... Mm...

I dunno what plant is that, but I like the middle part.

Do you know what this is? It's is a basketball ring.

Straws... Yellow straws...

This is an umbrella...

This is the inside of an umbrella.

The winning photo!!! Crayons!

So, that's the picture I took today. What do you think? Actually the one I like is the basketball ring, but my dad said it wasn't good because people can't see what it is, the crayons are better he said. It was raining at the bazaar, and even though it was indoor, there were leaks and i didn't want the camera to be wet and I have to work in the bazaar too, because it's the students who are selling stuff. The stuff I took, like the fetuccini, Kit-kat, and Mentos were the things we sold. So, I think that's enough for today's photos. See you again with more photos!

Outbound Photos

Last Saturday, my mom's office has an event, an outbound! Well, actually it was Saturday, and usually on saturday i sleep until noon, or a few hours before noon. But today, I had to wake up at 6 AM. But atleast I'm gonna take more photos there. Plus, my dad said that if i shot good photos, he's gonna give me something! So well, for the something and the fun of outbound and photography! So, here's the pictures I got.

Hmm... You'll notice that there's nothing related to the outbound event, because all the good photos aren't related to the outbound. They are all related to nature. My dad said that the the photos with
good focuses are these (and this is th top 4).

This is the photo of a plant. I like the springy thingy, that's why I took a picture of it. My dad said the focus was good, well, i think it's not too bad.

This is a... I dunno what this is, it's a fruit, but I dunno what fuit. The focus is not good among the top 4, but I like it because the fruit is shiny ^^.

These are the winning photo (The 2 plants, bottom and up)! The best focus and compotitions my dad said! I like it too.

So, there's my photos this session, I'll show you more!

At Sunda Kelapa...

Last Sunday, I went to Sunda Kelapa port. It was once an International port in Indonesia. Me, my mom, my dad, and my lil' bro went there together. At first, i thought that my dad was interested in the boats or wanted to show me the history (by the way, i'm weak in history), so I just thought of staying in the car. I went thee once on a field trip at school, and the boats were huge! And I'm not interested in big boats anyway, just the fish. On the way, I listened to my mom's iPod that I borrowed. Right now, I like to listen to 3 songs:
  • Amrita (Makino Yui) (Tsubasa Chronicle)
  • Believe (Kajiura Yuki) (Tsubasa Chronicle)
  • Demon God of Scandinavia (I dunno, but it's good!) (Matantei Loki Ragnarok)
I like to listen to 'Believe' and 'Demon God of Scandinavia' because right now, I'm wanting to learn how to play the violin, but since my mom said that I should think about it first, I dicided to just first listen to some songs played with violin. In no time, we arrived at Sunda Kelapa port. Like I said, big boats, or ships. And, my dad actually wanted to take photos there. I thought that it was boring, but the others left the car, so I decided to tag along with them, or I'll end up waiting in the car for hours. So my dad found a good spot for taking photos. there were many photographers there, but I dunno if they were only doing it for hobby or if they're proffesionals. I tagged along with my dad, because now I'm also interested in photography. I was my dad's assisstant. He 'instructed' me to bring his tripod or become his model (I'll show you the photo in other posts). My dad and I climbed on a boat that is for taking pictures for photographers. There was a photographer who was working with 2 models, and there wasa blond photographer. I think he was using sony cybershot or like the usual rectangular digital camera. It was fun, taking pictures on a boat, and the view was great! My dad had a problem, because he only has a couple of shots left in his memory card, s he has to delete some pictures and he sometimes lost a chance to capture a good photo. We finally finished at around 7. I asked my dad if I could borrow the his camera to take a picture of the moon. It was quite hard for me, because first of all, the camera's heavy, and I'm not used to carrying a big camera, ussually I use the Kodak one. Second, I have to face the camera to the sky, and it makes the camera even heavier for me. Third, the cloud keeps blocking the moon when I was ready to take a picture of it. But I finally got 2 successful photo of the moon that i'm quite proud of ^^. After that, i went home. We ate at a noodle store that's famous in Indonesia, Bakmi GM (Gajah Mada, it's the name of a hero in Indonesia). When I went home, I feel happy and a bit worried, because i haven't done my English homework, that is to make a 200 words paragraph describing our favorite celebrity, and it's due tommorow TT_TT. And I was very tired, I wanna sleep but, my teacher's gonna keep me in class after school if I dont do it, so, i did it until about 11 PM (well, I did it while surfing the internet too~). At last! After that I slept well, but I was still tired and sleepy the next day. But at least it was a fun experience! I look forward for more photo shoots!

Cool Pictures

Here are pictures that my dad took , take a look!

This is me.

If you zoom to the part in the end of the spoon, you can see it's dripping water.

This was taken in Singapore, when my dad went there.

This is a fly (obviously).
The fly was just staying still on the plate, so my dad just took a picture of it.
Cool huh? a zoomed up fly!

Any anime maniac will know who are the characters is in this picture.
It's Fate/Stay Night of course!

This is a sign from the airport.

This is taken in Singapore too, la
mpions!!!

This is a miniature car that I have.

So, What d'you think of the pictures? I'll add more pictures that me and my dad took!

Hey, what'd'you know? Photography is interesting!

I first thought that photography was boring. I know people spend so much time in photography, including my dad, but I just don't understand what makes them so special. My father is the professional photographer in the family. He works with his trusty partner in photography, his Nikon D200. When I thought that photography was boring, I just wonder, why does he takes so many time with his camera? It's just a camera, it just takes pictures right? But, even when I don't like photography, I seem to show interest in the camera, I thought it's because I like gadgets, so I thought it was normal. My dad shows me cool photos in the magazine or the ones he took. He took a picture of a fly, it was clear and cool. Then, in time, I began to like taking photos. Now I understand why people like photography. It isn't just taking photos, there's lots of technique we need to master to make good photos.
Last Sunday, my dad offered me to borrow his camera (Kodak easy share, 5.0 mega pixels, 10 times optical zoom). So, he said that I can borrow his camera, IF, I take at least one photo a day, any photo. And, I CAN"T use the screen to take the photos. Easy enough, so I started doing that on Monday.
The first picture that I took was at school. I took a photo of a flower. It turned out good. My hand usually moves a lot, so the picture is sometimes blur, but this time, it turned out good. It's not blur, and it's clear. The second photo I took was my friend, Kara and Thurston. I got a good photo of Thurston, but I made a promise to him that I wouldn't show the photo to anybody, so too bad... Kara doesn't want her photo to be shown too, but I'll post the other photos in another time (because now, my dad is in Singapore, and he brought the camera batteries, so I can't use it and I have no idea where the connector is). So, that's my first experience using a camera seriously, and took a good photo. See other photography stuff in this blog, and see the photos that I took in here too!!!
